A voltage difference between two points creates an electric field, and its strength is determined by the magnitude of the difference and the separation between them. Additionally, the field’s orientation is perpendicularly relative to the surface of the conductor at any given point.

When voltage is assigned to a single conductor, an electric field is generated in the adjacent atmosphere. Through this generated electric field, a current can be moved to another conductor, or leverage can be exercised upon objects present in the vicinity.

For example, batteries, solar panels, and generators all release a charge which manifests itself in the form of an electric field. An amalgamation of diverse origins can generate electric fields, vital components in an array of electrical appliances and gadgets. Not only can the electric field construct a current in another conductor, but it can also generate power to manipulate an object inside its area of influence.

Between two points of varying voltage reside electric fields, generated in part by natural sources such as the Earth’s magnetic field and electrically-charged atmospheric ions. They can also be created by human-made sources such as batteries, solar panels, and generators.

Through its intense power, the electric field can compel a conductor to generate a current. This is achieved by stimulating the movement of electrons inside the conductor. Moreover, the electric field is able to produce a driving force on any object that exists in it; this is accomplished through the interaction between the electric field’s power and the object’s electric charge.

Charged objects held within an electric field can yield a current generated through the movement of electrons within a conductor. Furthermore, current electric fields can also be used to create a force upon the charged object, achieved as a result of the interaction between the charges on the object and the field.
